Clinical Nutrition
The Clinical Nutrition service provides scientifically grounded, personalized nutrition care to support healthy lives and effective treatment for companion animals.

Nutrient requirements vary by age, breed, body weight, lifestyle, and medical conditions. In particular, for chronic diseases such as obesity, renal disease, gastrointestinal disorders, neoplasia, endocrine disorders, and orthopedic disease, appropriate nutritional management directly impacts treatment outcomes and prognosis.

At Seoul National University Veterinary Teaching Hospital, we carefully review each patient’s medical record and home environment to deliver tailored nutrition plans based on international veterinary nutrition guidelines (NRC, AAFCO, WSAVA). We also offer expert counseling on topics that owners commonly ask about, including comparison and selection of commercial diets, balanced formulation of home-prepared diets, and responsible use of supplements.
